When it comes to the fall weather one of the things I look forward to seeing is the great tasting apples that burst out on the scene the crunch the taste the different types but best of all many different ways to pre pare them and the way I real like to prepare them is by making a nice apple crisp
When I thing about a apple crisp I think about the granny smith apples, brown sugar and butter to along with oats to make a very tasty and hearty treat that will make you come back for more again and again but I don't want to keep telling you about it let me share my recipe.
Quick And Easy Apple Crisp
Ingredients
5 granny smith apples, cored and sliced
1 tablespoon of lemon juice from a fresh lemon
1/2 cup of butter
1 cup of raw oats
1 cup of brown sugar packed
1/2 cup of flour
1/2 teaspoon of sea salt
1 8 inch square baking dish
Methods
To begin pre heat your oven to 350 degrees.
Using a medium size bowl add the sliced apples in the bowl then add the fresh lemon juice coat the apples well then place them in the baking dish and set aside while you work on your crisp topping.
To begin working on the topping using a medium bowl add your butter into the bowl and start working the butter with your hands then add your oats and continue to work in the oats with your hands then add your brown sugar, flour and salt and work them in very well to combine all of these items together until the mixture starts to become clumpy then sprinkle the mixture over to on the apples and bake in the oven for 1 hour or until your apples are fork tender.
When ready serve and enjoy.
