A quick potato soup recipe

A healthy and inexpensive soup recipe.
If you are looking for a delicious filling soup, that is inexpensive and very nutritious then you need to learn to make our family favorite, potato & broccoli soup.
OK here are the ingredients for Potato & Broccoli Soup
5 large potatoes
1 bundle of broccoli
1/2 a stick of butter or margarine
1/4 a cup of milk
2 large tablespoons of flour
salt & pepper (to your taste) or and garlic salt
Ok and now here is how to prepare everything.
Wash the vegetables in water and leave the skins on the potatoes (you can take them off but the fiber is in the skin)
Cut the potatoes into small quartered sections, and place them in a pot covered in water.
Add salt & pepper & butter
Boil till almost tender and then add the broccoli heads.
Boil that until the broccoli is tender (usually around 4 minutes)
Add milk and flour and mix them really good in a cup and then add to your soup, this is done to thicken. you may need to add more flour or milk until you get the desired thickness of the soup.
Cover and let steep or simmer for around 14 minutes and it is ready to serve.
We usually add sour cream and bacon bits when served to add even more flavor.
