A Great After-Dinner Dessert

Updated on February 15, 2010

This apple cranberry pie is a great dessert after any meal, especially during the holidays. It is both sweet and a bit tart.

What you will need:

4 Gala Apples, sliced and peeled

1 Cup Cranberries, cut in half

1-1 1/2 Cups Sugar

2 Tbs. Flour

1 Tbs. Cider Vinegar

1/2 Tsp. Cinnamon

Pastry Dough for Double Crust 9' Pie

Preheat oven to 450. Combine sliced apples, cranberries, and cider vinegar in large bowl. Mix in sugar, cinnamon, and flour. Spoon into pastry lined pan. Transfer pastry top to the top of the pie and crimp along the edge of rim. Cut four 1' slits along top. Bake for 15 minutes, then reduce heat to 350 and bake for another 40-45 minutes. If crust begins to darken too quickly, cover edges with foil.
