Garlic Aioli Pizza Recipe
Aioli pizza, or white pizza, has a flavor entirely different than traditional pies made with a tomato sauce. Aioli is a garlic mayonnaise. While you could add roasted garlic to mayonnaise to make this recipe, I prefer a homemade aioli made with sour cream. This a family favorite in my house. I hope you'll like it, too.
Prepared pizza dough, or premade crust
1 cup classic aioli
4 or 5 slices Provolone Cheese
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan Cheese
1/4 cup grated Romano Cheese
1 cup grated Mozzarella Cheese
Finely chopped basil
Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.
Spread desired amount of classic aioli over the pizza crust.
Layer on the provolone, Parmesan, Romano and mozzarella cheese on top of the aioli.
Arrange sliced tomatoes on top of the cheese.
Sprinkle a little fresh, chopped or dried basil over the top.
Bake at 425 for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the cheese is completely melted and nicely browned.
Remove from oven. Allow the pizza to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
