Did you know this about your cooking oil?

The U.S., India and China are the world's largest producers of GM cottonseed oil. With that being said how can you avoid GM food? In the United State GM oils are used for frying potato chips and many other store bought snacks.

Did you know that GM oil is also used to make your margarine? Buy butter; at least your body can burn it without unknown repercussions. Oils were too bitter before GM. So as a result to GM we were able to use more oils for cooking. But didn't they go too far since?

Healthy Food List To Longevity

The most healthy foods to eat it foods that is not processed and developed by biotechnology. Your foods should be alkalized and full of beneficial nutrition.

When you eat foods that are not processed you lessen the possibilities of unnatural weight gain and mysterious illnesses.

Alkaline foods such as fresh fruits and vegetables ward off diseases by creating a strong and healthy immune system.

  • organic fruits
  • organic vegetables
  • organce soy milk
  • organic/farm raised meats
  • unprocessed foods
  • whole grains
  • nuts

That being said, it is not as easy as it sounds to eat and stay healthy; our foods are not what we expect and most have unknown factors that can change the way our bodies and organs perform in the future.

Genetically Modified Organisms are the cause to many unexplained conditions we face today. Such as unexplained:

  • illnesses
  • obesity
  • pain

Genetically Modified Organisms

Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO) foods are vegetables, fruits and other crop sprayed with herbicide glyphosate while growing for faster growth and sustainability.

Our crops are also crossed with fish cells to sustain cold temperature to withstand frost. Better known as biotechnology.

Just when you think you finally have the best foods to eat you have to worry about how they were made, farmed or processed. First we have to watch out for antibiotics in our milk and meats and pesticides in our fruits. What are we left to do now?

I changed to soy milk and now have heard about all of the terrible things that eating genetically engineered soybeans can be. My God! My soybeans can be modified?!

I was told that if I began to buy organic foods my foods will be safer for my body. I then found out even the whole food stores sell GMO foods.

Pros and Cons of GM Foods

Pros and cons of genetically modified foods does not end with the list below. There are many more within several categories listed.

Pros-benefits of genetically engineered foods

  • Feeding the hungry.
  • Save farmers lively hood.
  • Billions of dollars for companies.

Cons-genetically engineered food

  • Allergens
  • Upset in the food industry.
  • Unforeseen health issues from herbicides that have never been tested on humans.

What Companies Produce Genetically Engineered Foods

Huge companies enhancing the foods we eat by using biotechnology to genetically modify foods to help them grow faster is a blessing and a curse. They are able to feed starving people in a third world country by developing life saving foods while at the same time causing future health issues to many.

Monsantos (publicly traded American multinational agricultural biotechnology corporation headquartered in Creve Coeur, Missouri.) slogan "Producing More Conserving More Improving life" is great but give me a label.

FYI: There are also other companies developing GM foods.(Dow, BASF, Bayer, Syngenta and DuPont). I didn't want them to feel left out.

I would just like to have the choice to buy my frankenstein food if I choose! I already know that processed foods have ingredients that are not good for me. I already know that cakes and breads that don't need to be refrigerated has preservative in them. Research genetically modified food list to know in advance what you choose to avoid and why.

We already know that meat is no longer to be trusted because of the antibiotics used and the chance of livestock being raised in an unhealthy environment.

But when I buy my milk, meat, fruits and vegetables in the effort to be healthy I want to be able to chose real ,GM or cloned!! I vote for a label on my food to allow me to make the right choice for me. After all I have to be the one dealing with health issues later on in life.

Large companies that grow the GM foods stand to lose a lot of money by not telling us the risks and facts about the foods we are already eating. I really don't think they will lose a lot of money. Here's why.....

Remember when the warning labels had to be put on the cigarette boxes to expose the poisons in the cigarettes that can cause cancer? Well cigarette prices are still going up and people still continue to buy. At Least they are informed.

European Union, Japan, Russia and China are among the 60 nations worldwide that require GE foods to be labeled. Why is the United State so slow? Oh we covered that.......

In Closing

In America and across the world we deserve the right to chose what we want to eat. We deserve the right to know what our ingredients are in our products.

We work hard for our money and should be able to know exactly what we are purchasing without any cheap tricks from huge companies that are getting rich because of us consumers.

We should not have to worry about the milk we serve our children or the meats we buy from our stores. But if we do choose to eat Genetically Engineered foods let it will be our choice.

By the way I switched my milk from soy milk although I was told Silk soy milk does not use GM soy beans. I decided to go with Friendly Farms Almond milk instead. They are organic; I think. Eat safe healthy foods.
