An All-American Favorite: Fried Chicken
Fried Chicken can be easily understood as being (a) favorite dish in the Deep South. I have to confess that I cannot argue with this statement. I love fried chicken and I cannot find anyone who doesn’t. I have cousins in Kenosha, WI, who love Fried Chicken and my wife has family in Michigan who would walk a mile for her Fried Chicken.

Copy These Delicious Ingredients:
- Fresh chicken in parts
- Buttermilk
- Salt
- Oil
- Cold salty water
- Flour
- Pepper
It’s now time for you to take my advice and follow the above directions. Soak chicken in water for 1 to 2 hours. Wash chicken and drain. Dip chicken into buttermilk and roll in flour with salt and pepper added. Fry in electric skillet at 375 degrees. Turn chicken over when done and place on paper towels to drain excess grease. Serve on your nicest platter for your favorite preacher.
