Pazham pori is a favourite snack of keralites. It is very easy to prepare. It does not require any great cooking experience. A simple yet delicious snack made with the humble bananas.

- 5 ripe banana
- 1 table spoon rice flour
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- 1 table spoon sugar
- 1 pinch turmeric powder, optional
- 3/4 cup water
- to taste salt
- to deep fry oil
Instructions
- In a bowl, take all the purpose flour, rice flour, sugar, turmeric powder and salt. Blend it nicely by adding3/4 cup water.

Peel the banana and slit it lengthwise.

Dip the banana slices in the prepared batter.

Heat the oil in deep bottom pan. When it is hot, deep fry the batter coated banana by turning both sides till golden brown.

Serve the pazham pori after draining the excess oil using a paper towel.
