Easy and Quick Cooking Rice Recipe

Baghara Bhaat (Seasoned Fried Rice)

This is a very popular recipe which helps utilization of left-over cooked rice from the previous meal. Thus this helps wastage. Treat your left-over rice as described in this recipe and watch the dish being consumed quickly with relish by the family members and friends. Left-over rice from previous night's dinner makes a fabulous breakfast in the morning.....

Ingredients :

2 tbsp oil

250 gms boiled rice

1 tsp cumin seeds

2 medium-sized onions finely chopped

1 tsp chopped garlic

1 tsp chopped green chillies

1 tsp salt

ΒΌ tsp turmeric powder

1 medium-sized tomato finely chopped

Bunch of curry leaves

Bunch of Coriander leaves for garnishing


Method :

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Add cumin seeds. When they crackle add chopped garlic and chillies. Fry for a minute and then add curry leaves and chopped onions.
  2. Fry till they turn just golden brown and crisp.
  3. Quickly add turmeric powder and salt and then add chopped tomato.
  4. Cook for a while with constant stirring. When it gives out a rich flavor of frying onions, add boiled rice. Mix well. Serve hot garnished with coriander leaves and lime slices.
