Baked Alfredo- Recipe
Sometimes having a simple but delicious meal after a long day is a fantastic way to wind down. Comfort food usually fits the bill. It is always good to have an old standby, or even a new one, that you can use to keep everyone happy. Pasta is usually one of the top go-to meals for dinner. Why not have a fun way to make it taste even better but still super easy?
What You Need!
- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 1 and a half cups of finely chopped broccoli
- 1 jar of your favorite classic Alfredo Sauce
- 2 cloves of garlic or 1 tablespoon garlic powder
- 1 cup cheddar or your favorite kind of shredded cheese
- Parsley (optional)
Prepare your pasta as usual in heavily salted water. In a saucepan start your Alfredo sauce. Add your garlic, and broccoli and heat thoroughly. Place your pasta in a casserole dish and cover with the sauce. Mix until pasta is coated. Sprinkle your favorite cheese on top and bake in the oven at 425° for about 15-25 minutes. Keep and eye on your pasta, you don't want to over cook it, just melt the cheese.. You can top with some fresh(or dried) chopped parsley.
Cheat Garlic Toast
If you don't have any garlic bread on hand making some quick garlic toast is a great time saver and wonderful addition to this meal.
Partially toast your bread in the toaster or your toaster oven. Cover one side with butter and sprinkle with garlic powder and a touch of paprika. Place on a lightly greased cookie sheet and bake in the oven.
You can also top with your favorite shredded cheese to have cheesy garlic toast!
