Barbecue Tilapia Recipe
Barbecue Tilapia is so tasty and delicious. And so easy to make if you'll follow this simple recipe. For the most impressive presentation at your next dinner party you want to cook whole tilapia's with their heads still on. You will want your fish to have their insides removed and you'll want to sprinkle the below Barbecue Tilapia Rub inside and outside your fish. Tilapia is a wonderful tasting very mild fish and most people think its flavor is similar to flounder. I have made this delicious barbecue tilapia for a lot of people and most people say it is one of the most delicious fishes they have ever tried. Even people who usually don't eat fish say its delicious.
Barbecue Tilapia Rub
1. Two Tablespoons Cumin.
2. Two Tablespoons Chili Powder.
3. Two Tablespoons Lemon Pepper.
4. One Tablespoon Salt.
5. Two Tablespoons Sweet Paprika.
Mix all of the above together well being sure that it is very well mixed together. Put in a shaker with holes large enough to shake out the contents and when you are ready to cook your cleaned tilapia you will want to rub your whole tilapia down with olive oil all over including the interior of the body cavity. Then sprinkle each tilapia you are cooking all over with the above barbecue tilapia rub and be sure to do inside the body cavity of each tilapia you are going to be cooking.
You will want to be sure that your grill is very clean and you will want to oil your grates down well before you place your tilapia on the grill. Also before you place the tilapia on the grill you want the grill to be preheated and you want it at medium heat. Lay your tilapia on the grill and cook 8-10 minutes on each side until your fish flakes easily at its thickest part. I cook barbecue tilapia in my grills smoker and it turns out so wonderful.
When you serve your tilapia figure on serving one whole tilapia to each adult. Serve steamed broccoli and carrots with your tilapia. Season your broccoli and carrots with butter and salt.
