Jaynie is a whiz the kitchen She's a great baker but a far better chef, w/ expertise in making gourmet sandwiches and high-end entrees.

If you're looking for the perfect dessert recipe to brighten your table, this one is it! They are perfect accent to any baby shower, wedding shower or holiday table and they taste delicious! Best of all, they are so much more simple to make than they look. In fact, they look as if they took you all day, but you can have them done in less than an hour!

What You Will Need

1 box of your favorite cake mix

vegetable oil, water and eggs per package ingredients

cake frosting

variety of colored sugars

bag of white mini marshmallows

sprinkles

Directions

Preheat oven according to package directions. Line cupcake tins with cupcake papers. Prepare cake mix according to package directions. When done, remove from oven and allow to cool completely.

While cooling, open mini marshmallows. Using a sharp kitchen knife, slice marshmallows diagonally, from top left to bottom right corner.

When cupcakes are completely cool, top each with frosting. Dip inside of each marshmallow piece into sprinkles of your color choice. The sticky inside of the marshmallow will adhere to the sugar and hold it in place. Push marshmallow pieces into frosting until set, creating a large ring around outside of cupcake and then smaller rings, working your way inward until the muffin top is covered in floral patter. Drop small amount of sprinkles into center of cupcake.

That's it! You're done and your guests will definitely be impressed.

What a neat idea for a shower or other even in Spring. After all the snow we're having, I think a table full of pretty flowers would bring lots of smiles!
