Beef Tapa: The Star of Tapsilog
Are you familiar with a term called named tapsilog which is a morning dish? Well, tapsilog is just a slang term used by Filipinos to refer to a dish which has a combination of tapa, sinangag (fried rice) and itlog (egg).
Anyway, tapsilog will never be complete with the presence of tapa itself. So basically tapa is a beef meat which has been marinated with the mixture of vinegar, pepper and garlic in it. It is sometimes considered to be the same as that of the Spanish tapa but is also related to tapas, a Sanskrit word which simply means ‘to heat’. Many restaurants are specializing in this type of dish, and these are typically called a tapahan. So now, let me share you a recipe on how to prepare and cook this type of dish. Just read and follow carefully the ‘how to cook’ procedures so you get it the right way. Good luck!
