Benefits of Green Tea for good health
Tea is the second-most consumed drink in the world. It’s a fascinating fact that all kind of tea leaves come from the same plant called " Camellia Sinensis ". Tea is grown throughout the world & it natives to Asia.
There are many varieties of tea available & the most common in the world are Green, Black, White, Oolong & Pu'erh tea. It’s not the complete story; there are lots of other kinds of tea available like herbal, Rooibos, Blooming etc. The primary components of brewed tea are the essential oil, which provides delicious aromas with flavors, Caffeine found naturally in it, which is also known as natural energy booster and the last primary components, is Polyphenols that give briskness in the mouth & it's a healthy component of tea.
Green tea is primarily produced in China & Japan. The process of production majorly includes picking, drying and heating for avoiding fermentation of loose tea leaves. There is a slight difference in the color of tea produced in china & Japan because Chinese green tea production process includes the roasting of tea leaves in hot pan whereas Japanese green tea production process is steaming and drying. Later its common with both of the process to remove moisture by heat treatment and to pack typically by rolling and re-drying before usage.
There are lots of best green tea in the world but the most famous is Chinese Dragonwell. It was heard that dragonwell tea was kept reserved for Imperial family of china in older days. Dragonwell green tea has a little sweet taste and its helps to increase the mental alertness, whereas Gyokuro is the best from Japan. It also does have a little earthy sweet taste. Other green tea does have the same composition for health benefits but the taste varies.
Health Benefits of Green Tea:
There are lots of health benefits of drinking green tea. It has high concentration of EGCG (Epigallocatechin gallate). ECGC is a type of catechin available only in green tea (not in black because of different way of production process) & it’s a potent antioxidant with therapeutic effect of treatment in cancer.
Its not all, green tea works as an antioxidant, which may reduce the neurological disorder like Alzheimer's and Parkinson disease. Green tea reduces the risk of stroke & helps improving the cholesterol level. Then why not to consume green tea as a powerful antioxidant to keep arteries unclogged.
For reducing obesity, drinking green tea after every meal is very effective.
