Best Breakfast Restaurants In Atlanta

Updated on March 16, 2013

Top Breakfast Spots

Most anyone will tell you that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. There is scientific proof that eating a good breakfast will make you an efficient thinker, and healthier. Breakfast is my most favorite meal of the day. I have researched some of the best breakfast restaurants in Atlanta, and this is the list I have come up with.

IHOP yes you read that correctly IHOP. I love IHOP because its like an old friend who although you may not talk to everyday. You know you can always count on them. One of my favorite meals to order at IHOP is the Breakfast Sampler. You get everything you need to start your day off right. I also love the big steak omelette. I am not a big fan of mushrooms so I always get mine without them. Then there are the pancakes which are so soft and buttery, they just melt in your mouth. IHOP is also a very budget friendly option.

J Christophers is another one of my favorite breakfast spots. I love this place on a Thursday and a Sunday although its usually super crowded on the weekends, I still enjoy eating there. Its more of a date spot. Not a first or second date, but with a guy your dating. (there's a difference). My favorite things to eat here are the Spinach and bacon skillet, the Eggs Christopher and the Berry Crepes. The food is cooked to perfection. Not to mention the coffee is bottomless. It's so easy to fall in love with this place. The prices are also very reasonable.

The Flying Biscuit is a great place for breakfast/brunch. The Flying Biscuit is a favorite breakfast spot of mine partly because of the atmosphere, partly because of the staff but mostly because of the food!! My two most favorite things to eat here are the fried green tomatoes which they drenched in a perfectly seasoned cornmeal then its topped with a great tasting relish and goat cheese. The grits are to live forever for. They are so creamy and good. Not to mention the prices won't break the bank.

The Highland Bakery has some of the best breakfast I've ever eaten in Atlanta. There are about three in the city but I go to the one in the old fourth ward. I love the location although finding parking can be a bit of a job. Waiting for a table is also hard work. The food is so worth it tho.Their baked treats and flavored coffees are a great reason to eat here. The sweet potato pancakes are reason that I will ride up and down the street for a parking spot. The fried chicken Benedict is the reason I wait an hour for a table. The eggs are pouched just right the fried chicken is crispy but not too much the cheddar cheese sauce has a kick but not to spicy and the biscuits are homemade. The prices won't leave you broke either.

These are some of my favorite breakfast places in Atlanta. If you haven't tried them I suggest you do. If you have a favorite place please leave a comment below so I can try it out. Breakfast is such an important meal, you may as well do it right and enjoy the food while doing it!!
