When it comes to beverages, most of us prefer to have tea, coffee or any soft drink. But how about having something that is more exciting, colourful, delicious, nutritious and a perfect party companion for cocktail lovers!
And you have plenty of choices in this category of non alcoholic drinks, to present to your loved ones or your guests.
With just a little imagination and innovation you can create wonderful non alcoholic drink recipes.
Alcohol free drinks are becoming very popular,
- for those who are driving;
- for those who are concerned about their health/ or have health issues;
- for those who simply do not want to have alcohol;
- for children and teenagers who want to enjoy sophisticated drinks (like adults);
- for women who do not like alcoholic drinks;
- for health conscious people who want to enjoy their food with nutrition in mind.
Alcohol free drinks can be made interesting and exciting and they can be enjoyed on any occasion. It may a garden party, birthday party, marriage party or regular dinner party.
Cool Orange-Pineapple Delight:
- 500 ml. Orange fruit juice;
- 1 litre Pineapple juice;
- 1.5 litres Lemonade;
- crushed ice;
- mint leaves to decorate.
Pour fruit juices of orange and pineapple into a large jug.
Stir well to mix thoroughly.
Just when you are about to serve, mix and stir in the lemonade.
Pour into tall glasses with crushed ice.
Decorate with mint leaves.
# Serves 20 .
Carrot, Beetroot Cocktail:
500 ml. Carrot juice;
500 ml. Beetroot juice;
1 tsp. Ginger juice;
1 tsp. Lemon juice;
Lot of ice cubes
Put all the ingredients in a large cocktail shaker and shake thoroughly.
Put ice cubes in tall glasses and pour the mixture into them.
# Serves 4
Apple Strawberry refresher
250 ml. Apple juice;
100 ml. Strawberry syrup or juice;
10 Blackberries ,
1 tbso. Lime juice,
Put the apple juice, strawberry syrup, lime juice and blackberries in a food processor.
Add some ice cubes and process till smooth.
Pour into tall glasses and decorate with blackberries.
50 ml. Orange juice;
50 ml. Lemon juice;
50 ml. Pineapple juice;
50 ml. Grape fruit juice;
1 teaspoon Ginger juice
# To decorate:
Ice cubes as required
Put the ice cubes in a cocktail shaker and pour the orange, lemon, pineapple and grapefruit juice.
Add ginger juice and shake thoroughly.
Strain and pour into tall glasses.
Insert orange slice, lemon slice and cherry on to a toothpick.
# Served 2
Coconut Cream Cocktail
50 ml. Coconut Cream;
100 ml. pineapple juice;
Pineapple pieces thinly cut for decoration.
Place the pineapple juice, coconut cream and crushed ice in a food processor.
Process till smooth.
You can also do this in a cocktail shaker.
Pour into tall glasses and decorate with pineapple pieces.
# Serves 2
When making alcohol free drinks, use the best quality ingredients for best results.
Fruits and vegetables should be hand picked and they should be fresh to enjoy the great effect of flavours.
Choose ripe and juicy fruits and not over ripe or under ripe fruits.
Home made juice is more flavoursome and certainly contains more nutrients than packaged juices.
One of the the most important thing to keep in mind in alcohol free drinks is their presentation.
Choose the right glasses and decorate the drinks for instant eye appeal.
Try and fix slices of lemon, orange, apple or pineapple on the top of the glasses before serving.
Rim of the glasses can be frosted with powdered sugar.
