Best Seafood Place around Atlanta Georgia

Updated on October 26, 2010

Fisherman’s Catch

Well I guess it’s kinda hard to argue with 25 years in business, and once you try this perfect little fish restaurant located in the Lilburn / Snellville area, it will stay on your list of favorites forever. Located on Hwy. 78 directly across the street from Home Depot is a cozy perfect little independent seafood restaurant.

The owner Don Shear (who looks just like Peter Fonda from the movie Easy Rider) got it right. This is actually one of my old favorites I wanted to share with everyone. I have probably eaten there thirty times in the last two years, and have never walked away with anything but absolute satisfaction.

The environment is warm, cozy, and family friendly. The staff seems to know most of the customers, and most of the customers are obviously long time patrons.

Shrimp, scallops, oysters, crab, and many types of fish broiled or fried from flounder, perch and grouper to whiting, and catfish. There is also rib eye steak available for those of you who need steak with your seafood. All served up with crystal clear and clean tasting sweet tea with lemon and fresh crisp salads with the wafer crackers, just the way us southern folks like it.

The hush puppies have a mild sweetness to them which perfectly compliments the meal, and fresh tarter sauce that enhances the seafood perfectly. There are different specials throughout the week, so you can call in to see what specials they have for that day.

They do have chicken sandwiches, hamburgers, and fish sandwiches and excellent small meals for the little ones. As far as pricing goes, lets just say it’s less than Red Lobster, or Joe’s Crab Shack, and the taste has both of these giant chains beat by a country mile.

Try some of their appetizers while your there, ranging from Alaskan snow crab legs, to fried northern gulf oysters, to shrimp cocktail. I always get the fried oysters, and love em’.

This is a perfect little spot to take the family, or have a nice cozy dinner with friends.

I hope you get the chance to visit this secret hot spot.
