Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 cup margarine, softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cups chopped walnuts
  • 3 tbsp water
  1. In large bowl,combine flour,sugar,salt and cocoa powder.
  2. Add margarine,water, vanilla and eggs and beat for 2 minutes at medium speed.
  3. Add nuts and pour in an 8" greased square pan.
  4. Bake at 350 ยบ F for 25-30 minutes.
  5. Cool in pan and cut in squares. N.B -.There is no baking powder in this recipe. Variation: Double Chocolate Brownie: omit nuts and add 3/4 cup chocolate chips to batter.
