Better Than Whoopie Cake

Desserts - Need I Say More
Desserts, who doesn't like desserts? Funny how even when we're full we can somehow always make room for dessert :)
When I married my hubby a few years ago, he came with several book loads of dessert recipes, plus the ones he had committed to memory - peanut butter pie, snickerdoodles, blueberry cake, and a slew of other recipes that are just too divine and are now making me drool just listing them ! For this hub, I've chosen an all time favorite titled Better Than Whoopie.
This is a wonderful dessert that is served well with a light dinner due to it being a more condensed type of cake. Very delicious cake that can be made with many variations - I have tried it with a lemon cake mix but it does not taste as good to me as the lemon flavor rules - which is good if we're wanting a lemon flavored cake. Paula Deen (who doesn't love Paula Deen) has a cake in one of her books with the same name, but she uses different ingredients.
Try the recipe and keep me posted with the ingredient variations that you may want to try.
Yes, the name is a conversation starter and breaks the ice at many parties and social gatherings. Is it better than, well, you know.......? I'll let you make that decision :>
