Bisztro - 34 Terez Krt
Bisztro opened at 34 Terez Krt on the corner of Zichy Jeno in June 2012. It is open from 7.30 to 22.30.
Bisztro offers a good range of coffee and hot chocolate, but there is limited tea available, with only black, green and fruit. There was not a huge range of cakes available but then when we arrived it was about 21.30. What it lacked in choice it made up for in freshness and presentation. Me had a couple of large chocolate sweets, myself had what was termed a brownie but which was just a nice moist chocolate cake which was served warm with ice-cream and I had a very nice moist carrot cake. They were all served with a drizzle of chocolate across the sweets.
Me had a nicely served mug of tea with honey and myself and I had very good hot chocolate. We selected simple hot chocolate at the counter before going to our seats and hadn't seen what a good selection of flavours were on offer. Another time, perhaps.
Bisztro is a fully fledged restaurant serving a range of light dishes including a range of breakfasts and salads suitable for tourists passing so close to Oktagon.
For me myself and I it is conveniently close to the Muvesz cinema and provides a convenient place to meet and have a coffee before seeing a film. We last went to this venue when it was just a café. The furnishing and interior design and layout have not changed. There are tub chairs in red, green and cream, with modern artwork to match. It’s comfortable and good for those who want to check out the latest sporting event such as the EUFA European Football Championship, that was being shown on a large flatscreen TV in the inner half of the venue when we were there soon after it opened. It didn't disturb us and we were able to find a quiet corner away from distraction.
