3.6 stars from 14 ratings of Blackberry Cordial

The color of blackberry cordial is deep and amazing. You can serve little glasses of it straight or mixed with soda water or 7UP and ice. With equal parts of rum or vodka and squirt of lime, it makes a smooth, inky cocktail.

  • 2 cups sugar
  • 2 pints blackberries
  • 1 quart vodka

  1. Combine everything in a large glass jar. Cover and place it in a dark, cool place.
  2. Stir the contents, or just turn over the jar every week or so for 2 to 8 weeks; longer is better.
  3. Eventually, strain and decant.

You can try same approach with red raspberries or Italian plums.
