Christmas gift for a brewer

Updated on January 31, 2011

One of the benefits of people knowing you have a hobby, such as home brew is that you generally get some nice gifts related to it.  For example one of the gifts waiting under the Christmas tree for me this year was Brew your own British Real Ale at Home.

This great book looks at making a wide range of British Ales, from Mild Ales such as Boddingtons Mild to Porters and Stouts such as the world famous Guinness.  In addition to all the great recipes, this book also gives you the option for an extract brew or a full mash brew.  I’d highly recommend it to anyone wanting to try one of the famous ales or discover a gem, relatively unknown outside of the UK.
