Indian Recipe to make brinal bartha

Ingredients:----

  • 1 brinjal(1/2 kg)approximately
  • peas 1/2 cup
  • 2 onions finely chopped
  • one medium sized tomato or 2 table spoon tomato puree
  • edible oil 2 table spoon
  • salt to taste
  • garam masala 1/4tsp
  • red chilly powder 1/2 tsp

Method:

Roast the brinjal on the gas stove until the peel is charred, remove the charred peel or soften the brinjal pulp in the oven ,mash and keep it aside see that there are no lumps in the mashed brinjal.put some oil in the cauldron and heat it put the onions and fry them till light brown add the puree or chopped tomatoes. Mash them with the onions add salt to taste and red chilly powder ,along with one teej patta (bay leaf)add 1/4 tea spoon garam masala .Put the peas and cover the masala with little water to soften the peas ,Next put the mashed brinjal and keep stirring until the bharta release oil .sprinkle with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
