I found myself at Bryn and Danes when I was trying to avoid going to Sonic. Sonic, a local fast food restaurant, has what I can only describe as a colossus. They carry a massive hot dog with chili and cheese.

It was calling me. At my age, it is a necessity to find healthier food choices. Bryn and Dane’s offers this opportunity. It is good fast food with your health in mind.

First:

1) What would you eat that would surprise your taste buds?

Please comment below.

Bryn and Dane’s would save my stomach. Instead of getting a hefty hot dog, I would go to this healthy fast food restaurant and get sweet potato fries and a natural soda, Huckleberry.

The fries are fresh, and not greasy, but are refreshing and hearty.

Huckleberry really is good. It tickles and refreshes your mouth, waters your pallet with a delicious Huckleberry flavor and makes a home in your belly, with little guilt.

I found I really should visit Bryn and Dane’s a second time just to make sure such a place is real.

The Story

On a $12,000 budget, dreams of a “fast food revolution” and based on the idea of bringing healthy, low calorie and home-cooked food, to those who agree with it, Bryn and Dane’s moves forward.

From working on a farm to gathering fresh food forces, made up of various farmers, Bryn and Danes went from selling low calorie snacks to those in Horsham, Pennsylvania to offering an expansive food menu in locations in Horsham, Pennsylvania and soon Plymouth Meeting, Pennsylvania.

The Setup

Bryn and Dane’s works from the outside. You have to notice the excellent design and vibrant landscaping outside of the restaurant. The reds, yellows, greens and blues of plants and flowers around the building are bright and lively.

Inside, Bryn and Dane’s restaurant is clean and crisp. Wood is the theme of this large place with its wooden long tables or the wooden barrel tables. It is all solid, clean and preparation for a good meal.

The staff is excellent and very receptive to your needs.

The Meal

You might think farm fresh means salads only. In this case, I would order the Roasted Quesadillas. It is simple with a wheat tortilla, mozzarella, grilled chicken, roasted red peppers, onions, salsa and sour cream.

I would pick up a piece of this quesadilla and it would dip slightly. It was not greasy but it does contain bulky and hearty ingredients. The cheese molds together with fresh peppers, onions and grilled chicken, from the farm, and collects in your mouth. It fills your stomach quickly.

Salsa, with its tomato blend, further enhances this dish.

It is simply fresh food brought together, to be, hearty, tasteful and filling. You can always enhance your food with sea salt, seasonings or sauces but really fresh food is very potent. If you combine this with the sweet potato fries, sweet and crisp, you have a great low calorie meal that will not keep you up at night.

In The End

Bryn and Dane’s is not a place you need see only fresh and low calorie. It is not all about salads. It is about taking what you believe taste really great and giving it to you in the healthiest way possible.

It takes someone like Bryn Davis, who found himself 70 pounds overweight, to make the effort to change and start a revolution that makes finding healthy food choices an option for the public. It is good food, period.
