Chocolate & Peanut Butter Kandy Cakes Recipe
Need a quick dessert for a party? This Kandy Cakes recipe is it! They take about a half hour to complete from start to finish. Enjoy!
2 Cups Sugar
2 Cups Flour
1 Cup Milk (I use skim, but any milk is fine)
2 Tablespoons Oil
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Using a mixer, mix together all ingredients. You will have a cake like batter when you are finished mixing. Pour mixture onto a greased cookie sheet that has 1 inch sides. I use parchment paper on a cookie sheet, and I grease the parchment paper. You can just use the greased cookie sheet if you don't have parchment paper. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until batter is done. Take out of the oven and spread peanut butter on while the cake is still hot. The peanut butter will melt. Once the peanut butter is spread over the entire cake, sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the peanut butter. Let them sit until they are softened, and then spread over the peanut butter. If you notice that they are not softening, open your over, place the tray back in, and leave the oven door cracked. They will be softened in no time! It will look like you have chocolate icing on the top. See pictures below for help. Place in fridge to allow the peanut butter and chocolate to harden. Cut and serve when ready!
