How to Make My Cheddar Cheese Burger with Grilled Jalapenos and Onions
I Love Cheese! I Love Jalapenos and Onions!
Hi again! I want to share with you another one of my recipes. It's my Cheddar Cheese Burger with Grilled Jalapenos and Onions! A delicious combination indeed! I love cheese and I love grilled jalapenos and onions together. I thought why not put them on another one of my favorite foods, a hamburger! I must confess something here: I am a bonafide hamburger junkie! I think Ihave been since I first ate one as a chid.
This delicious burger cannot be beat with its delicious ingredients including a fresh hamburger bun buttered lightly inside and skillet toasted inside and out. A steaming hot hamburger patty topped with grilled, sliced jalapenos and onions then smothered with a slice of REAL cheddar cheese! The cheese melts and holds the jalapenos and onions in place. Then it is topped with a fried egg, lettuce, sliced tomatoes and pickles! What's not to love here???
Let's look at how to make this delicious burger!!

My Cheddar Cheese Burger with Grilled Jalapenos and Onions
2 lbs. ground beef
6 eggs
2 to 4 fresh sliced jalapenos
1/2 large yellow onion, sliced
Garlic salt and pepper, to taste
Fresh sliced tomatoes
Romaine lettuce
Pickle slices
Mayonnaise
Mustard
Place oil in a skillet (about 1 tsp oil) and saute the jalapenos and onions until slightly browned. Remove from heat.
Next divide the meat into 6 hamburger patties. Cook the patties either in a skillet indoors or over hot coals on your outdoor grill. Season with garlic salt and black pepper while cooking.
Place some of the jalapenos and onions on each patty and top with a slice of cheddar cheese just before removing from the skillet. Fry eggs (break the yolks) hard. Lay a hot fried egg over each patty.
Lightly butter the buns inside and skillet toast over medium high heat inside and outside (tis is important)!
Spread bottom bun with mustard and lay a couple of pickle slices on it. Lay the patty on top of that. Next is the sliced tomatoes, lettuce, salt and pepper. Spread some mayonnaise on the top bun and place onn the burger! At this point your burger is ready to serve! But I like to serve mine with some hot fresh french fries or tater tots and lots of ketchup on the side! A glass of ice cold tea with lemon or an ice cold beer is the only other accompaniment needed! Enjoy!
