This is a great meal to fix for a romantic dinner for that special someone. This is specifically a recipe for two. I would like to suggest this recipe as a dinner for two for Valentine's Day. You can really make this personalized for your special someone that you have in mind.
Think of the special things that you can do to make the evening special. You know your mate better than anyone and this is the perfect time to make that perfect meal. Some suggestions might be to dress up in some of your nicest clothes and fix your hair and makeup (if you wear any). This is a nice treat for that special someone in your life. You can be the private waitress for the night. This particular meal could also be a great thank-you lunch for a special friend who has done something nice for you or you could make this for your mom and dad to enjoy a dinner together. Once again, this is a great dinner, no matter what the occasion, whether you are making it for someone else and deliver it or, it is a special meal to prepare for someone at home as a romantic dinner idea.
If this is a romantic dinner, light some candles and turn the lights down, play some soft music and maybe serve with wine or the adult beverage of your choice.
Whatever little additional touches that you would want to add to the meal would be nice. For instance, a favorite side dish. Fix one or two of your favorite side dishes together. Garlic mashed potatoes or baked potato would be fabulous.
I also have another idea. The recipe listed below is great idea for a twist of the typical green bean recipe. This makes an elegant looking side dish. Green beans are wrapped in bacon and covered with Italian dressing. Then, place in a preheated oven and bake. You will want to remember this recipe for other occasions as well. These are super easy bundles of beans that look complicated to make but, are in fact, quite simple. I hope that you enjoy.
Fancy Green Beans:
Also, a type of bean would go well with this chicken dish, would be to fix a recipe that I have called Fancy Green Beans. The particular recipe that I have is the one that I love to fix that includes green beans wrapped in bacon. It is quick and easy. Guests always rave about it.
What you will need:
You use 1-2 cans of the whole green beans, a package of bacon and a small bottle of Italian dressing.
Open the package of bacon, if the strips of bacon are long, you can cut the bacon in half. Take a handful of the green beans and wrap the bacon around the middle of the green beans. The bacon will probably wrap around the bacon several times. Bake with the end of the strip, touching the pan for cooking. You may take a toothpick to hold the bacon into place. You can coat the green beans in the Italian dressing before you wrap them with the bacon or, you can wrap the green beans in bacon and then pour the Italian dressing over the wrapped green beans. Bake for 350 degrees until the bacon is done and the green beans are cooked. The green beans will shrink up just slightly. When the green beans look like they are shrinking on th ends, they are finished.
These taste so good and they are elegant and fancy looking for that special dinner date.
This is one of those recipes that is super good. It takes like something you would order from a restaurant.
Be careful, they are very hot, when first removed from the oven.

Bread Crumbs Are The Perfect Topping!
*A Helpful Hint on the Chicken*
A good way to prepare the chicken is to get a cutting board and cover it with waxed paper and then pound the chicken until it's into 1/4" thickness.
Then put out two separate bowls. Use one bowl for the eggs. Then use another bowl to put the bread crumbs in.
Prepare a large plastic zip lock bag with the bread crumbs, basil and garlic.
Dredge the chicken in the egg mixture with one hand. Place the chicken in the zip lock bag and coat the chicken with the bread crumbs.
Don't Forget The Bread!!
If you have read any of my previous recipe hubs you will know that I always need to have or strongly recommend that you have some type of bread. To me a meal is not complete without some kind of bread.
Whatever style you would like, whether it's rolls or a loaf of French bread that you put butter on and bake it in the oven. A meal is just not the same without a good piece of bread.

Chicken Florentine with Chef Alfredo
- 2 whole chicken breasts, boneless, skinless
- 1 large egg, slightly beaten
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs, italian
- 1 teaspoon basil leaves, dried
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 tablespoons butter, enough to grease the skillet
- 1/3 cup water
- 2 tablespoons grey poupon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- Pound the chicken breasts into 1/4" thickness. Break the egg into a shallow bowl and slightly beat the egg. Combine bread crumbs, basil and garlic in a plastic zip lock bag to coat the chicken.
- In a large non stick skillet over medium high heat melt one tablespoon of butter. Add chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes on each side. Remove the chicken from the skillet and keep warm.
- In the same skillet, melt the remaining butter. Stir in the water, mustard, lemon juice and sugar. Simmer one minute or until thickened.
- Arrange the chicken on a serving platter. Drizzle with the lemon mustard sauce.
