Quick Chicken Dumpling Soup Recipe
Chicken Dumpling Soup Made with Biscuit Batter
This may not be the "Chicken and Dumplings Soup" that Grandma make, because she may have made the dumplings with a rolling pin and flour. The chicken and dumplings recipe that Grandma taught you how to make I'm sure was a bit time consuming, although it was made with love. This recipe is easier, due to you not having to roll out your dough with any type of rolling pin. The flour dough batter has been replaced with a can of biscuits; this makes it easier and quicker for this recipe. The biscuits are a form of pre-made dough batter in a can.
- Chicken wings or chicken breast, 1 pack
- Mixed vegetables, 1 pack
- Canned biscuits (regular not flaky), 1 can
- Medium or large size pot of water
- Seasoning salt, pepper, and onion flakes
- A plate sprinkled with flour
- (optional) garlic
INSTRUCTIONS - CHICKEN DUMPLING SOUP WITH BISCUITS RECIPE
Begin by rinsing the pack of thawed out chicken in cold water, then place the pack of chicken in a pot of water. Season the chicken while it is cooking, boil your pot of chicken on a medium heat for 35-55 minutes, and then add the mixed vegetables. Last but not least, slice one biscuit at a time into 2-3 slices, rolling each slice into a medium size ball. Pat a small amount of flour onto the dumpling balls from the plate that's sprinkled with flour. Begin putting one dumpling ball at a time into the boiled pot of chicken and let cook for an additional 5-7 minutes.
This soup is better served in a bowl to keep it soupy. Soups assist with lowering symptoms of common colds, flu, sinus problems, and other cold symptoms, especially if you drink the soup water it will warm your body in the cold winter season.
