  1. Cut the chicken into bite size pieces, wash, dry and place in a pan.
  2. Sprinkle the chicken with cornstarch, salt and combine well. Set aside for 5 minutes.
  3. In the meantime, heat the 3 cups of oil for about 10 minutes. When the oil is really hot, deep fry the chicken pieces till they turn brown from the outside and then place them on a paper towel to soak all the excess oil.

  6. the chicken is cooked, remove from heat and add the vinegar.
  7. Garnish with chopped spring onions and serve hot with steamed/friend rice or noodles.

Urmilashukla, It's great to be able to access such an authentic chili chicken recipe in the Indo-Chinese tradition. In particular, I like your use of cornstarch, dark soya sauce, and ginger for the texture of the first and the taste contributions of the two latter.

Respectfully, and with many thanks for sharing, Derdriu

Your daughter likes spicy food? The crushed red pepper paste must make it very spicy. If so, bravo! I like spicy food and perhaps I will try it with an adaptation to help more delicate taste buds in my family. You can always add hot pepper sauce on the side.

Yes,in matter of fact our whole family likes spicy food. These foods are good for digestive system too. Actually, hot pepper sauce on the side, is a good idea. Go for it. Thanks for stopping by and commenting,Randy M.
