"Chili Taco pie"

"Chili Taco Pie"

This little treat is a meal in one or you can add a salad if you like. it also can be eaten alone.

"Chili Taco Pie"

Ingredients:

1 pd. ground beef or 1 pd roll taco meat (from Wal mart)

1/2 cup  diced bell pepper

1/2 cup .diced onions

1 garlic clove crushed

1 cup diced white potatoes (sauteed until almost done).

1 cup stewed tomatoes

2 cups salsa

1 cup ream corm

1 cup whole kernel corn

2 tsp. chili powder

1  tsp. garlic powder

1 tsp.onion powder

1tsp. salt

1 blk.pepper

1 pkg taco seasons

1 cup velveeta cheese chunks

1 cup cheddar cheese

1 Tbs. butter

Directions to prepare: Brown ground meat or taco meat along with,bell peppers, onions,salt, blk.pepper,garlic powder, onion powder until done.  in a another skillet put  white potatoes in a little oil, sautee until almost done. Then add to beef mixture along with corn, tomatoes, taco seasons and velveeta, cook and stir until velveeta is melted turn off fire.

Follow directions for mexican corn bread. Put melted butter in pyrex dish and  pour a layer of mexican corn bread in dish and the add 3 cups taco meat mixture. add the finally mexican corn  bread and cover the top with cheddar cheese. Bake at 400 degree until corn bread

Serves 6 - 8
