Chinese and Thai recipes of microwave

Szechuan Chicken


  • 500 gm chicken
  • 10 red dried chillies
  • 3 tbsp oil
  • 5 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 1 tbsp finely chopped garlic
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 2 tbsp soya sauce
  • 1 tbsp garlic paste
  • 2 tbsp red chilli sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1-1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/4 tsp ajinomoto(optional)
  • red color(optional)
  • later to be added
  • 2 spring onions cut up to greens in 1" diagonal pieces
  • 2 tbsp cornflour
  • 1 tsp salt

1.Mix oil,red dried chillies,chopped garlic,chicken,garlic paste and all ingredients except cornflour, salt and spring onions. Mix it well.Cover it and microwave for 8 minutes.

2.Dissolve salt,corn flour in 1/2 cup water and add spring onions to it.Mix all ingredients well.Microwave the ingredients for 3 minutes or more uncovered till thick sauce coats the chicken. In between stir once.

2.Keep it aside for 2 minutes. Serve hot.

Honey Chilli Mixed Veggies


1 carrot

9-11 whole mushrooms

1 1/2 cup brocolli or cauliflower

1capsicum cut into cubes of 1/2"

1 onion cut into 10 pieces

2-3 red dried chillies broken and deseeded

15 crushed garlic flakes

1/4 tsp pepper

8-9 baby corn

3/4 tsp salt

1 1/2 tbsp vinegar

1 pinch ajinomoto optional

1 tsp soya sauce

2 1/2 tbsp tomato ketchup

3-4 tsp honey

2-3 tsp red chilli sauce

3 tbsp cornflour dissolved in 1/2 cup water with 1seasoning cube


1.Cornflour is to be dissolved in 1/2 cup water. Seasoning cube is added to it and it is kept aside.

2.In a microproof dish oil,garlic,broken red chillies, mushrooms, carrots, baby corn,onion,cauliflower are added.All ingredients are mixed well and microwaved for 5 minutes.

3.Pepper, ajinomoto,chilli sauce,salt,soya sauce,tomato sauce,honey,vinegar are added to it.Mix all and microwave all for 1 minute.

4.Add dissolved cornflour and capsicum and mix.Microwave for 3 minutes or till sauce coats the vegetables and the vegetables are tender and crisp.Mix well.Serve with noodles or rice.


Butter sauce Broccoli


250 gm broccoli(1 medium)

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp salt


3 tbsp butter

1 seasoning cube (vegetarian)

1sliced onion

3 tbsp flour(maida)

1 tbsp crushed garlic

1 tbsp coriander chopped

1 cup milk

1/2 tsp pepper

3/4 tsp salt

1cup thin cream

2 tsp paste of mustard


1.Cut brocolli into florets of medium size with long stalks.

2.In microproof bowl take 1 cup of water.Add 1 tsp sugar and 1 tsp salt and mix.Mix well after adding brocolli to it.Cover it and microwave for 3 minutes. Drain it.Refresh it in cold water.Dry it by wiping brocolli.

3.Microwave 3 tbsp butter in microproof dish for 30 seconds. Add to it garlic paste,sliced onion. Microwave for 5 minutes.

4.Add coriander,seasoning cube,brocolli,maida.Mix it and microwave for 1 minute.

5.Add milk,mustard paste,salt,3/4 cup water,pepper.Mix it and microwave for 6 minutes. Let the sauce thicken.Inbetween stir once.Remove.

6.Add cream to it.Mix it.Keep it aside.Microwave for 2 minutes before serving.


Garlic sauce Chicken


250gm boneless chicken breast

2 broken red dried chillies

2 tbsp crushed and chopped garlic

3 tsp red chilli sauce

3 tbsp tomato ketchup

2 tsp soya sauce

1 spring onion with greens chopped

1 capsicum cut in cubes

1/4 tsp ajinomoto optional

1 tsp salt

Sugar 1 pinch

1/2 tsp pepper

Chicken seasoning cube 1

3 tbsp cornflour

2 tsp vinegar


1. 1/2 inch pieces of chicken breast are cut.

2. Put chicken in a bowl which is microproof with 1 tbsp oil.Mix it properly.Cover it and microwave it for 3 minutes. Remove and keep it aside.

3. Put 4 tbsp oil,dried red chilli pieces,garlic,onion white in a dish which is microproof.Mix it.Microwave for 3 minutes.

4. Add soya sauce, ketchup, chilli sauce, sugar,pepper, ajinomoto,2 cups of water, seasoning cube, cornflour, vinegar. Mix it well. Microwave for 5 minutes. In between stir once.

5. Add chicken which is cooked,spring onion greens,capsicum. Mix it. Cover it and microwave for 3 minutes. Let the sauce thicken. Stir it properly. Serve hot.


Chilli Chicken


350 gm chicken with pieces cut into 1/2"

2-3 finely chopped garlic flakes

finely chopped ginger pieces

2 tbsp soya sauce

1/2 onion sliced

1 tbsp vinegar

1/2 tsp ajinomoto optional

1 capsicum medium

1 tsp salt

1 tsp sugar

4-5 green chillies

2 tsp white wine optional

1 1/2 tbsp cornflour in 1/2 cup water


1.Add 3 tbsp oil,ginger,garlic,onion,soya sauce,chicken pieces, ajinomoto.Mix it.Cover it.Microwave for 5 minutes.

2.Add all other ingredients. Mix.Uncover. Microwave for 3 minutes. Mix again.Serve hot.

Thai Greens


1/2 kg chicken cut into pieces of 1/2"

little jaggery or 1 1/2 tsp sugar

2 cups coconut milk

Green paste

8 deseeded green chillies

4 stalks of lemon grass or 2 lemon rinds

Ginger of 3"

3 tsp coriander seeds

2 tsp cumin seeds

Coriander leaves chopped 1 cup

2 1/2 tsp salt

2 chopped spring onions with green part

2 tbsp vinegar


1.With 3/4 cup water grind everything under green paste.

2.Add oil and green paste in a dish of microwave. Mix everything. Uncover.Microwave for 5 minutes.

3.Add chicken.Mix.

4.Cover.Microwave for 4 minutes.

5.Add coconut milk and jaggery.Mix until jaggery dissolves.Uncover.Microwave for 6 minutes.

6.Stand for 2-3 minutes.

7.Garnish with basil,coriander leaves and serve.


Peppery Carrot Rice


1 cup rice: soak it for 20 minutes

1 sliced onion

1 tsp salt

3 tbsp oil

1/2 tsp crushed pepper fresh

1 chopped carrot and 1 capsicum

1/2 tsp soya sauce


1.Mix oil,onion,carrot,capsicum and microwave for 4 minutes.

2.Add rice,salt,water 2 cups,pepper, soya sauce. Cover. Microwave for 13 minutes. In between stir once. Sprinkle pepper.Serve after 6 minutes.
