I came up with this recipe one day when I wanted to make Chicken and Dumplings. I didn't have any flour to thicken the batter so I improvised and used country gravy mix.
4 Chicken breasts, cut up
1 Can of biscuits
1 package of country gravy mix, be sure to get the kind that blendS with cold water before adding to boiling water
1 Can cream of Chicken soup
salt & pepper
Water for boiling
In 4 quart pot, boil chicken until tender, adding seasonings to taste. Remove chicken to add soup and gravy mix. Prepare gravy mix according to pkg directions and then add to broth to thicken. Mix gravy and broth until well blended. Add chicken to broth / gravy mixture and bring to a simmer. Open biscuits and cut each one into 4-6 pieces. Slightly flatten each piece before dropping pieces onto mixture, until entire top is covered. Simmer 10-12 minutes until dumps are cooked through.
HINT FOR ANOTHER RECIPE: IF YOU DON'T HAVE BREAD CRUMBS WHEN MAKING A MEATLOAF, USE FLAVORED CROUTONS!!
