Facts of dark chocolate

It’s official, chocolate is good for your hair. Your eyes are not deceiving you. The cocoa in dark chocolate naturally contains flavonoids that can lower blood pressure and improve blood flow. Just make sure to eat it in moderation.

Did you know that the benefits of chocolate on health dates back to ancient Aztec times? Back then, the seeds of Theobroma cacoa tree, or the cocoa tree, were crushed and made into a sacred drink which is believed to strengthen a person, prevent fatigue and provide enough energy for a person for the entire day.

Delicious Ways to Naturally Reduce Your Blood Pressure

Here’s some sweet news. In a 2012 systematic review published in Cochrane Library, researchers looked at 20 trials involving more than 800 people meant to investigate the effect of cocoa flavanols on blood pressure. The findings? Cocoa powder or flavanol-rich chocolate had a small, but statistically significant effect on blood pressure, lowering it, on average, 2-3 mm Hg in the short term.

Cacao powder has been an important food in South America for thousands of years. A spoonful can transform a smoothie or dessert, and it’s essential for making a Mexican molé sauce. Free of any sugar or fillers, pure Cacao powder provides you with exceptional flavour and texture along with a healthy abundance of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals.Chocolate, cocoa, and Cacao are all derived from Cacao beans which are seeds found in the fruit pods of the Cacao tree.

A new study on living animals has shown for the first time that eating cocoa (the raw material in chocolate) can help to prevent intestinal complaints linked to oxidative stress, including colon carcinogenesis.

Raw Cacao one of the best sources of magnesium on the Earth. People are highly deficient in this essential mineral. It is estimated that 80% of the population may be deficient. Lack of magnesium plays a role in many conditions such as osteoporosis and weak bones/teeth, heart disease, migraines, muscle spasms, painf ull menstrual periods, and even diabetes. For every 100 grams of cacao you get 550 mg of magnesium, which is close to your recommended daily allowance with just one serving!

Contrary to what many health experts say about chocolate, raw chocolate or pure cocoa has many outstanding benefits. For one, it is considered a super-fruit of the earth because it has medicinal properties that can help prevent many diseases. Its benefits target the cardiovascular system, work on reducing the risk of heart attacks and stroke.
