Yields: Serves 4 people

Peas and Mint



  • 1 kilogram peas, fresh
  • 1 liter vegetable soup
  • 1 onion
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • 30 grams butter
  • 1 bunch mint
  • salt
  • black pepper

How to make it

  1. First clean the peas, chop the onion, wash the mint, drain it well and after that cut the mint leaves.
  2. Heat the butter in the pan.Place the onions to cook and stir them well until they become golden. Pour the vegetable soup and let it boil.
  3. When the soup boils lower the heat and add the peas and the mint.Remember to keep some mint leaves for decoration.Season with salt and pepper and cook about 20-25 minutes.
  4. After the peas are boiled, put everything in a blender and blend until you get a smooth cream.
  5. Place back on the oven and add the sour cream.Let it boil again.After boiling it for 5-10 minutes maximum, pour the soup into a large bowl and let it cool for 2 hours.
  6. When it's cold, put in separate bowls, sprinkle the remaining mint leaves and serve it cold.
