Nine Convenient meal ideas for University students:

Going from home-cooked meals of spaghetti, roast chicken, and casserole, to having to scrounge up a meal using whatever you have in your fridge is hard. Whether you're at university, or are flatting, you're going to need to have a couple of convenient, easy, and tasty recipes under your belt. That's why I have compiled this list of nine delicious-- yet doable, meal ideas. Interested in how students in general eat while at university? 1. Lasagna:

Lasagna is without a doubt one of the best comfort foods there is; made up of layers of pasta, meat, cheese, and tomato sauce, it just doesn't get much better than this. Now, you don't have to miss out on this delicious treat no more, just make some hot, melty lasagna yourself, with this easy, homemade recipe:


2. Chicken Enchiladas:

A spicy mix of chicken, green onions and chilies, and cheese, all encased in a flour tortilla? Yes please! Relatively nutritious, and completely satisfying, these Mexican creations will be your go-to dish in no time.


3. Vegetable Stirfry with rice:

Looking for a quick, nutritious, and on-the-go meal option? Look no further than the humble stirfry. This one features vegetables and rice, making it ideal for vegetarians, or when you need your vegie fix.

Male students generally met their recommended dietary intake, for foods such as poultry, fish, dry beans and nuts.
University students tend to skip meals more frequently.
University students that had been educated in nutrition and proper eating habits, would generally make healthier decisions, and eat healthier.
Male students generally consumed more fat.
Female students generally had a lower fiber intake, compare to male students.
Anorexia and Bulimia are more prevalent in university campus than in the general population.
Estimated 10 percent of students drink more than 15 alcoholic beverages per week.
Large majority of university students struggle to eat more than one piece of fruit or vegetable per day. Much lower than the recommended intake.

4. Basic Margherita Pizza:

Everybody loves pizza, and now you can make this crowd-pleaser for yourself. Perfect for entertaining when you have a bunch of friends around, or when you're looking to treat yourself, this scrumptious pizza base, loaded with tomato sauce, melted mozzarella cheese, and basil, will hit the spot. Made using basic ingredients such as bread, milk, eggs, and cinnamon, there's no reason why you can't make yourself some of this French Toast. Top with your favorite choice of toppings!


7. Nutella Mug Cake:

Made using nothing more than Nutella, self-rising flour, sugar, an egg, milk, some oil, and cocoa powder, all thrown together in a mug, this decadent dessert is the definition of convenience! Enjoy it with some whipped cream and caramel sauce, for when you want to unwind, or need a hit of sugar.


8. Easy Breakfast Frittata:

Hearty, satisfying, and easy, this Breakfast Frittata ticks all the boxes for the ideal Uni-student breakfast. With a total cooking time of 15 minutes, you won't be needing to wake up early in order to munch on this appetizing Frittata.


9. Fruit Smoothies:

Perfect for when you have slept in, and need a quick, on-the-go breakfast, or when you want to get all your vitamins and fruits in one delicious hit.
