Updated on June 30, 2008

Whether you have diabetes or are simply interested in finding some healthy and delicious recipes, you'll find that The Healthy Carb Diabetes Cookbook: Favorite Foods to Fit Your Meal Plan is a terrific addition to your kitchen cookbook collection. If you're looking for a comprehensive collection of healthy recipes that are easy to prepare, this is the perfect cookbook for you!

Healthy Recipes for Everyone

It's a fact that everyone can benefit from enjoying healthy foods and following meal plans characterized by the optimal combination of healthy carbohydrates, lean protein, and healthy fats. This cookbook is literally paced - cover to cover - with just the types of recipes that everyone can enjoy and benefit form eating.

While the recipes in this book are written with the dietary needs of diabetics in mind, the dishes are likely to appeal to just about anyone. Written by Chef Jennifer Bucko, MCFE and Lara Rondinelli, RD, LDN, CDE, best selling authors of Healthy Calendar Diabetic Cooking, this book is packed with delicious and easy to prepare recipes that anyone will enjoy.

The recipes in this book were developed in accordance with the USDA dietary guidelines published in 2005 that emphasize the importance of eating at least three servings of whole grains each day. Following this recommendation is believed to play a role in reducing risk factors associated with not just diabetes, but also heat disease and cancer.

Delicious Recipe Ideas

You won't have to worry that your kids and other finicky family members will suspect that you found the recipes you prepare from this book in a "healthy cooking" book. They're so taste tempting and delicious that you might actually have a hard time convincing the health conscious members of your household that you're actually serving them nutritious, health conscious fare.

Some of the many delicious dishes you'll find in this book include:

  • Apple Pecan Stuffed French Toast
  • Chicken Almond Stir Fry
  • Peanut Butter Granola
  • Sauerkraut and Sausage Skillet
  • Sausage Lasagna
  • Sweet Potato Soup
  • Turkey Gyros
  • Many Additional Options
