Oats are healthy grains

Every time you add oats to your diet you are improving on your health

This healthy oat grain is nearly equivalent in quantity to soy protein and also equal to meat and egg protein.It give a nourishing start to your day ,it provides a sustained release of energy and is filling as well oats in porridge, upma ,soup gravies,cookies ,cakes biscuits and puddings and reap the benefit of this wonder grain .

Oats are 100%natural and one of the richest source of soluble fibre ,the soluble fire is known to help in:-

  • Reduce excess cholesterol.
  • lowers blood sugar and control the conditions of diabetes
  • It helps to control weight.
  • works as a best obesity manager
  • prevents constipation
  • helps to control gastro -intestinal disorders
  • It is naturally rich in vitamin b &vit E,vit Avit C,
  • pantothenic acid &folic acid
  • naturally rich in minerals ,calcium,iron phosphorus zinc and selenium
  • Also have protein carbohydrates , saturated and unsaturated fatty acids
  • has naturally rich dietary fiber.

Cooking directions for porridge:--2 cup of boiling water add 1 cup of oats cook for 5to 7 minutes,stirring occasionally.serve hot with sugar and milk,you may add fruits ,nuts, and flavours

Soup:--Make any soup as usual.then add one tablespoon oats for each cup of soup (1:1)after adding the oats boil the soup for another 5 mins .Now your favourite soup is enriched with all the goodness of oats you get more by using less .

Oat Upma :--Dry roast 1 cup of oats for about 3 mins.finely chop 3 green chilies,a small piece of ginger a small onion and a garlic clove ,heat 1 tsp of oil or ghee add finely chopped vegetables sauté them for few mins ,add 2 cups of water and 1 tsb of salt .bring the water to boil and then slowly blend the oats .keep stirring till all the water is absorbed serve hot with coconut cutney or sauce.

potato cutlets:- take 2 to 3 boiled potatoes mash them well add 2 tablespoon of oats and mix well add salt to taste and 1/2 tsp chili powder,1/2 tsp garm masala 1green chilly chopped.mix well until all get mixed ,you may mix pre boiled peas if you wish make small balls of the potato and oat dough and shallow fry or roast in oven or nirlep pan .serve hot with thinly sliced onions and sauce of mint and coriander
