Cooper’s Ale House Restaurant Review
Cooper’s Ale House, located at 415 S Swing Rd in Greensboro, North Carolina is a sports bar restaurant that you can go ahead and feel comfortable taking the kids to at certain times of the day. At around 11am on a Sunday morning, after going to church services worked out very well for us.
- The Cooper’s Ale House restaurant opens at 11am in the morning and it was very quiet on this, our first visit there. (It was not too busy, not too many people there.)
- I have been discussing frequently in my restaurant review series (you can see more at hubpages.com/@journey) that I have had these pre-paid restaurant gift certificates that I have been using. These restaurant gift certificates that I have will be expiring on October 31st and I did not want the one that we had for Cooper’s Ale House to go to waste so we went ahead and headed over there. We did not regret it.
- Cooper’s Ale House restaurant was quite kid friendly. They even have a kid’s menu to select from.
Kid friendly, thank goodness
Despite being a sports bar themed restaurant, Cooper's Ale House restaurant was quite kid friendly.
The jukebox at Cooper's Ale House restaurant was awesome with great acoustics and our family selected a couple of songs for play on the jukebox, at a cost of $1 for 2 songs. We listened to the song, “Innocent” by the band Our Lady Peace and the song “Everything is Everything” by Lauryn Hill. I love both of those songs. I enjoy many types of music and these two are examples of songs that I am particularly moved by. The song, “Innocent” did not sound like I expected it to because it turned out to be a concert recording instead of the studio album recording. It was okay though. Nevertheless, I do prefer the studio album version.
We enjoyed using the jukebox to play music at Cooper's Ale House restaurant.

"Come and get it"
A screen often popped up on the jukebox, saying that there is now a free play available on this jukebox. “Come and get it”. We tried to get the free music play but the screen did not work for us. So, although we did not get access to any free music plays, we did truly enjoy the songs that we paid for, especially “Everything is Everything” which sounded like we expected the song to sound.
Cooper’s Ale House is connected to the Wyndham hotel in Greensboro, North Carolina. The restaurant is in what would be considered as the lobby of the hotel itself. The restaurant is welcoming with bright blue walls, the jukebox, a pool table and flat screen televisions. The rest room, also used by Wyndham hotel guests, has pretty wallpaper and nice lighting on the mirrors. While we were not guests at the hotel, many of the guests of the hotel do end up dining at Cooper’s Ale House.
Our family usually likes to sit at a booth in restaurants and Cooper’s Ale House restaurant had comfortable booth seating that we selected.

From the kids’ menu at Cooper's Ale House restaurant, my two sons each selected the grilled cheese sandwich served with french fries and lemonade and the fettuccine alfredo also served with a drink. The younger one had the grilled cheese meal and the older one had the fettuccine alfredo meal. I took a little taste of the fettuccine alfredo. It was creamy and delicious just like I love fettuccine alfredo to be. The kids both enjoyed their meals very much. Each one of the kids’ meals cost $5.95. My older son would have liked some meat such as chicken with his fettuccine alfredo which was plain so I just gave him some of my burger. I purchased the California burger that has avocado and bacon that also comes with fries. The avocado was fresh and tasty. The burger was good tasting and well seasoned. Everything was enjoyable. Food photos are enclosed.
