"Cornish hens and wild rice stuffing"

"Cornish hens and wild rice stuffing"

IIngredients:

2 -4 cornish hens

2 cups diced or chopped celery

1 1/2 cup ohions

2 cups bell pepper choped

1 sm. pan corn bread already cooked

1 sm. jar pomento

1 box uncle Ben's wild rice with herbs

1/2 cup chicken broth

1/2 stick butter

2 Tbs.dry sage

3 Tbs. poultry seasoning

1 tsp.salt

1/2 tsp. blk. pepper

1 Tbs.canola oil

1 tsp.sugar

Direction to prepare: Cornish hens

wash cornish hens and rub on, cacun seasons, garlic,salt, garlic ,and onion power inside and out. set to the side. Take corn bread out of pan and break into small pieces and put in large bowl add wild rice with corn bread. Take your hands and mix bread and rice, then add bell pepper,onions, celery, hand mix all together.

Add: salt, pepper,sugar, broth, sage,poultry seasons and oil,pomento, continue to mix with your hands. your stuffing mix should be kind of stiff but pliable. in a large roasting dish put a layer of stuffing in the bottom of pan. Then stuff your hens with stuffing,and after you stuffed all your hens, if you have stuffing leftover, put it around the cornish hens. melt the butter and pour over hens. then bake at 400 degrees for 1 1/2 check to see if hens are done and golden brown. This cornish and stuffing dish is like an early thanksgiving for you to enjoy. very good.

      Good, it's avery tasty dish to try and doesn't have to be a holiday. I make this dish anytime I feel like it. Thanks for the comment. creativeone59
