Country Sausage Gravy - An Easy Gravy Recipe

Updated on November 8, 2011

Country Sausage Gravy

This gravy is perfect for your own homemade biscuits or a quick can of refrigerated biscuits. Either way, you will find it easy and delicious!

1 Lb. Bulk Pork Breakfast Sausage

2 Cubes Chicken Bouillon, Crumbled

1/2 tsp Garlic Powder

1/2 tsp. Ground Black Pepper

1/4 tsp Onion Powder

1/4 Cup All Purpose Flour

1 1/2 Cups Low Fat Milk

Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat; stir in sausage, chicken bouillon, garlic powder, black pepper and onion powder. Cook and stir until the sausage is crumbly and no longer pink. Do not drain fat.

Stir in the flour and cook for 3 minutes, stirring constantly. Stir in the milk and bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Reduce heat to low, and simmer 5 minutes to thicken. Adjust thickness to your liking by adding more milk if necessary.

Additional Tip

Use ground beef in place of the sausage serve over toast, egg noodles or rice. Add some canned green beans and you will have an easy comfort food dinner!

After many trials of getting it to my liking,my version is an adaptation of this recipe.
