Crazy Karmel Pecan SINnamon Rolls
If you love nuts and cinnamon rolls, try this recipe. It is overloaded with the good stuff.
- 1 cup scalding hot milk, microwave about 1min to 1min 30 sec
- 1 cup warm water, but use ½ Cup
- 1 egg, room temperature
- 1stick butter, room temperature
- 5 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1/4 cup sugar
Put liquid ingredients in bread machine first, poke a finger pocket in the flour for the yeast, don't let it touch water.
When dough is done roll it out and cover with mixture of 2T cinnamon, ¼ C brown sugar, ½ stick butter (I double these) Then roll it up. (I cover with plastic wrap - wax paper will stick - and put in freezer for 45 minutes). Spray the pan with butter flavored vegetable oil, then cover bottom with mixture of ½ stick butter, 2T cinnamon, ½ C brown sugar, 1C Pecans and 2 T Karo syrup. (I double these) Cut chilled roll into 1 inch thick slices and place in pan on top of nuts. Bake in oven at 350F for 15 – 30 minutes or until rolls are golden brown. Remove from oven then place platter on top of pan and invert the pan letting the rolls fall onto platter.
Enjoy warm rolls with a pat of butter and cold glass of milk.
