Crescent Lasagne

  • 1/2 pound sausage
  • 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 3/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon parsley, flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon basil, leaf
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano, leaf
  • 1/2 tesapoon salt
  • Dash pepper
  • 6 ounce tomato paste
  • 1 cup creamed cottage cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 - 8 ounce cans Pillsbury or Italian quick Crescent rolls
  • 2 slices (7x4) inches mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tablespon milk
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seed

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
  2. Meat filling - in large skillet brown meat, drain. Add all meat filling using ingredients (1-10). Simmer uncovered for 5 minutes. Note that meat mixture may be made ahead of time and refrigerated.
  3. Cheese filling - combine all other ingredients (11-17).
  4. Crust - Separate crescent dough in 4 rectangles on ungreased cookie sheet.
  5. Spread 1/2 of the meat filling on the crescent dough.
  6. Spread the entire cheese filling on the meat.
  7. Top off with the other 1/2 of the meat filling.
  8. Fold the dough over the top of the meat and cheese filling.

Ready in: 1 hour
Yields: 6-8 servings

      Wow, this looks soooooo good!!! I shouldn't be looking at this kind of stuff really as I am on a diet... but wow, so tempting!
