Crock Pot Girls - World has Gone Crazy Over Them!

Updated on August 18, 2013

Who are Crock Pot Girls?

Nicole, Allyson, and Jenna from the Dallas area are the latest hottest sensation on facebook. Yes, they are the Crock Pot Girls. These beautiful moms decided to create a facebook page where everyone can share tried and tested crock pot recipes, as they love crock-pot cooking. Well, even they wouldn't have expected the overwhelming response they received. By the time I am writing this, they have more than 1 million fans and increasing every minute. Can you believe it? they have started their facebook adventure only on the 16th of August, 2011. Spurred on by the immediate success of this page they are on their way to create a website dedicated to crock pot recipes. Last time I checked it is still under construction. No doubt the Crock Pot Girls will have huge success with their website too.

What is behind the success of Crock Pot Girls?

Did the world and people on facebook go crazy over crockpot cooking all of a sudden? I don't think so. Crock pots became popular in the 70's as people discovered the convenience of cooking delicious meals with minimum effort. Who has time to spend hours in the kitchen these days? You only have to put all the ingredients in the required measures together in the crock pot and set it to the suggested cooking time, typically 6 to 8 hours, on low heat. So it is very convenient for busy people, as there are thousands of recipes to fit your tight day to day schedules. This slow cooking method will help you have delicious meals with minimum effort by the time you reach home after your busy day at work.

Crock pot girls are just doing what they love to do. And, I think its a wonderful idea to start a page and website where busy moms can share their recipes to help each other discover new tastes every day. Big corporations will pay millions of dollars to have a facebook page which will go viral and as fast as this one.

If you haven't started already, go and buy a couple of crock pots today. Millions of brilliant recipes are on the way. I personally would like to try out some of the recipes shared on their page.

Share Your Recipes with Them

If you are interested in slow cooking recipes head over to their facebook page ( and explore those innumerable recipes that are being shared by fans every minute. You can share your favorite recipes with them too. Their website ( is still under construction, but I am sure in a few days it will be in full flow. Don't forget to give those girls a visit. In the mean time check out these delicious crock pot recipes shared by our own hubbers on the right.

Finally a crock pot recipe video for you

Affiliate Advertizing scheme. Getting people to like their page by using Bots. Showing FB users that their friends like them and in reality they do not. It went viral and got out of their control. Their Plan may be to redirect people to the new sites they are building to collect from the Clicks Advertizers Pay. There are alot of programs that can be purchased to do this. Some that will create false profiles in mass.

Yep, I'm waiting to see how Rival, the owners of the trademark Crock Pot, and Facebook deal with this. They could have been less aggressive and stayed under the radar, but greed is an awful thing! It's definitely a bot.

Shelby is right. The women seem to have very little to do with the popularity of their facebook page.

I smell a Facebook Bot for the Crock Pot Girls and if you look up Skinny Crock Pot they were just created on Tuesday and they already have over 60,000 Likes. It would be a fantastic site if there was a recipes APP installed to actually look for the recipes or an actual well organized website to search and add recipes. These are simple things that could have been added a couple of weeks ago, which leads me to believe there is a BOT involved in this one! Three girls who are not at all tech savvy nor do they have recipes of their own they are adding!

We have an exclusive story at TMG exposing the harsh tactics by the Crock Pot Girls to keep the competition off their Facebook page. They banned our own culinary writer!

You have a point there Audry and Tim. Coming to think about it, it seems a bot or bots are in action here, and they are doing over time at that too. Lets wait a few days to find out. Thanks for your visit and comments.

      Best Regards

It does seem like quite the phenomenon that their page has become so viral, but don't be fooled - there is someone behind the scenes forcing it to become that way. I believe the the intentions of the 3 girls was true, but they have someone else helping them that has done some "fishy" things in order to get them the response they have. Check this out:

Delighted to see the Crock Pot Girls going viral! Love the recipes! For the record - they are actually from my home town of Brownwood, Texas, which is not remotely considered the Dallas area - LOL! Hope everyone enjoys their site - having website problems because of the traffic, but will be up and running! :)
