De Bazaar, The Black Market In Beverwijk, The Netherlands
Welcome to De Bazaar, the largest roof covered supermarket in Europe! De Bazaar is located in Beverwijk in The Netherlands. It had its thirty years celebration last September 2010. It is one of the main tourist attractions in Holland (another name of The Netherlands). Besides the local people and the people of the neighbouring countries like Germany, it is one of the most visited places for the tourists from all over the world. People from different cultures and traditions meet at this very large market place.
Although it is only open on Saturdays and Sundays, it is said that around sixty thousands of visitors are coming in to shop or just look around the most exciting market I have heard about. It is open at 8.30 a.m.-6 p.m. Entrance for adults is €2.25. Small children under 13 years of age are free.
De Bazaar houses the "Zwarte Markt" (means "black market" in english language), the Oriental Market (Oosterse Markt), Computer Market, Flea Market, Grand Market. Zwarte Markt was the beginning of De Bazaar when it only started with a few hundreds of stall holders and shops. Whereas now, it consists of more than 2,000 stallholders and shops like restaurants and bakeries.

My second visit to De Bazaar
This is my second visit to De Bazaar as I was visiting my relatives for a few days and it is only a few minutes drive from where I stayed. As always I was excited for there are lots of things to see and buy with a reasonable price and I can always bargain and ask for a lower price. Besides that, there are lots of Asian foods and vegetables I have not seen and eaten for years. Like oval shaped mangoes, green bananas for cooking, heart of the banana for frying, water spinach, etc...
The first thing we did (me and my relatives), was looking for a children suit for my nephew to wear in his cousin´s wedding. It was so awesome for my eyes, looking at the beautiful clothes hanging everywhere under the roof. But we had to buy the suit first before we forgot it due to lots of goodies to see.
From the stallholder where I was standing, my eyes could not stand still. Beautiful children clothes with laces in different colors and sizes were all hanging above me. While my nephew was fitting his suits and shoes, I was busy looking at the other sides of another stallholders where adult clothes were hanging inviting me to touch them. All in fine fabric and cheap. Where else can you buy a modern summer dress with laces for only €15? The one that women wear in Broadway?
On the long hallway where I was standing, were leather clothes hanging in brown, black, red, bourdeaux and white colors in different styles and sizes. The shops were paradise for leather lovers, men or women at all ages and bikers who love to dress in leather clothes. The prices were very reasonable and you can ask for a bargain sale by saying you have seen the same at other stallholders but cheaper. Then the salesman decreases the prices.
The photos I´ll show you down this capsule is kind of "womens´ paradise". Paradise because of all I show on this picture, weakens the mind and the wallet of the women (including myself) or their men.
The lovely fashionable shoes, high heels in gold, silver and black with crystals. Bags in leather from all different sizes, colors and brands like Christian Dior, Gucci to name a few.
Beautiful cocktail dresses, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, eyeglasses, sunglasses, watches, not to forget the perfumes for all kinds of people. Name it and they (stallholders) have it. For girls who want to buy hair extensions, it´s the place for you to see.

Multi Cultural Market in Beverwijk
De Bazaar is really very large that I did not know anymore which hall I was in. Whether I was in the "Zwarte Markt", Oriental Market or Grand Market. That is why I am not able to write in the photos in which hall I was. I was confused. I was not able to take photos of the various spices of different stallholders from Turkey, Arab countries and Asia due to a lot of people inside and I don´t want to post photos here in Hub Pages where people are included and I can not ask any permission from them.
I went "home" with my relatives carrying a lot of bagages of Asian vegetables and fruits and two lovely party shoulder bags which cost only €10 both. I am sure that was not my last visit in De Bazaar. Next time I would like to eat in one of the restaurants and enjoy the live music show that De Bazaar offers.
