Updated on June 29, 2014

The Perfect Way To Grill Corn, How To Grill Corn On The Cob.

Bacon Wrapped Grilled Corn

I grow my own sweet corn and what I do is pull the shucks down and then I remove all the silks. Then I wrap each ear of corn with bacon and then fasten the bacon on the corn with wooden toothpick. I then brush the corn and bacon with the glaze from the recipe on this page and then I pull the shucks back up around the ear of corn.

I then grill the corn until the corn is done and the bacon is crisp. I promise you that what you'll end up with is some of if not the best grilled corn that you'll ever taste in your life. You just have to try this recipe.

The Most Delicious Grilled Corn On The Cob Ever

There is nothing in the world as good as fresh grilled sweet corn. And I promise you this grilled corn is so good it should be illegal.

What I do here is grow my own fresh tarragon but you can purchase it fresh at the grocery store in the produce section or you can buy powdered dry tarragon if you can.

What you'll want to do is pull the shucks down off the ears of corn and remove the silks. If you have fresh tarragon sprinkle each ear of corn with fresh chopped tarragon. If you can't get fresh tarragon get powdered tarragon. Brush each ear of corn with butter and then pull the shucks back up over the corn.

Grill your corn on a medium hot grill for about 15 minutes on each side and your corn should then be done. I promise you that you'll have the most delicious grilled corn that you'll ever eat in your life.

Be sure that you purchase and use a good stiff kitchen brush to insure you have no silks on your corn. There is nothing quite like fresh sweet corn grilled on the grill and when you use the below glaze on the corn as you grill it you end up with a little bit of heaven.

Glaze For Your Corn.

I don't know how many people over the years have asked me for the recipe for the special glaze for my grilled corn. And once you taste it I'll bet you'll make it every time you grill corn because it turns great grilled corn into something so wonderful you'll never forget it.

1. 1/4 Cup Of Soy Sauce.

2. 1/4 Cup Of Rice Wine Vinegar.

3. 2 Tablespoons Minced Fresh Garlic.

4. 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar.

Mix all of your ingredients together in a small sauce pan and bring to a boil. Remove from heat and use a pastry brush to brush on your corn as it grills. Be sure to turn your corn often so it doesn't burn and brush your glaze on often. This corn will be so delicious. Serve with plenty of butter. It is so delicious.

Serve wedges of lime with your grilled corn for a delicious tasty treat.

Rescue For Corn Past Its Peak

If you want to cook corn on the cob but you should have cooked it last week add a tablespoon of sugar to the water your boiling it in instead of salt. Salt will toughen corn especially corn that is past its peak. Bring the water to a boil with out the corn in it and then add the corn on the cob. Cook for about three minutes after it comes back to a boil after adding the corn. You'll end up with perfect corn every time.

Corn On The Cob Cooked In The Husk

For a quick addition to grilled meals cook corn on the cob in the husks. Remove the inner husks and the silk and then pull the remaining husks back up around the corn. Cook until done turning often. You can wear rubber gloves when removing silk from fresh corn and just twist it in your hands and the silk will come right off.

We know corn as a vegetable and a grain, which makes it one of our most important foods. Corn is delicious grilled, boiled, creamed or added to other dishes. In the American south, " Silver Queen " is the favorite variety of corn. It is a wonderful corn that is easy to grow and its delicious. If your growing your own corn go the extra distance to find silver queen corn to grow in your garden. When your corn is about two foot tall plant pole beans at the foot of each stalk of corn and let your pole beans grow up each stalk of corn.

If your buying fresh corn the peak season is May through September but canned and frozen corn is available anytime. You will not want to refrigerate corn for over three days to insure the best flavor possible. Remove the silks and husks just before you cook the corn. You can remove the silks from the corn but leave the shucks on. Soak the corn in water for about two hours and then grill the corn in the shucks. You'll end up with a almost steamed corn that will be delicious and tasty.

How To Grill Corn Perfect Every Time

One of my favorite soups is fresh corn chowder. Be sure you use fresh corn off the cob for this recipe.
One of my favorite soups is fresh corn chowder. Be sure you use fresh corn off the cob for this recipe.

Fresh Corn Chowder Recipe

Make sure you use corn fresh off the cob for this recipe. You want to cut your corn kernels off the cob and you want to scrape the corn cobs with the knife to get the best corn flavor. Place all including the liquid into a mixing bowl.

Now you want to add 1/2 cup of bacon chopped up fine to a large deep skillet. Fry over medium heat until the bacon is crisp. Chop the bacon up very fine with a spatula. Now to the skillet add 1 large purple sweet onion diced up very fine, a tablespoon of fresh minced garlic and 1/2 cup of diced fine celery. Cook the onion and celery until done. Now add the corn and add the below to the pan.

1. 1/2 Cup Fine Diced Roasted Green Pepper.

2. 1/2 Cup Fine Diced Roasted Red Pepper.

3. 1 Teaspoon Salt.

4. 1 Teaspoon Ground Cayenne Pepper.

5. 6 Cups Chicken Broth.

6. 1 Cup Cooked Potatoes Ground Fine In Food Processor.

You will have to be using a deep skillet for everything to fit into your skillet. You will get the best flavor in this soup if you use the same skillet through out the cooking process. Cook your soup once everything is in the skillet over medium heat for at least one hour until you are sure all your ingredients are done and the flavors well blended. In the last 15 minutes of cooking time stir in the ground potatoes as a thickening and to add flavor. Those finely ground potatoes is the secret ingredient in this delicious soup.

I usually make this chowder every summer as soon as my sweet corn is ready to be picked. I pick my fresh corn just before I'm ready to use it.

This is a delicious soup served with corn bread. Try it and see what you think about this delicious corn chowder.

This soup or chowder is also really good for you. The red bell peppers are filled with vitamin C and antioxidants and the cayenne pepper is also really good for you.

Delicious Corn Fritters Recipe

Again you will want to have fresh corn on the cob and you will want to cut enough corn off the cob to end up with 2 cups of corn and you want to combine it and the below in a mixing bowl.

1. 1 Cup Self Rising Flour.

2. 1 Cup Self Rising Corn Meal.

3. 2 Large Eggs.

You want to mix all your ingredients together well and then you want to drop the fritter batter by the spoon full into a home deep fryer with pre heated 350 degree oil. Fry until golden brown being sure to flip them over to be sure to cook them thoroughly. Serve with ranch dressing for a delicious tasty treat.

Some people like to use a heaping tablespoon of sweet onion chopped very fine in the fritters. Try them both ways and see what you like. I like to serve these corn fritters with honey mustard and believe me hot from the oil you won't find anything more delicious.
