Dos Salsas Mexican Food

A new restaurant has recently opened in Cedar Park, Texas on FM 1431 between the old 183 and 183A. It sits on the South side of the road. You can't miss it as it is a sizeable building. Expect the parking lot to be full as Dos Salsas is drawing the crowds. There are plenty of tables in the main dining room and even more in the adjoining enclosed porch area.

After two visits, I am impressed with the atmosphere, food and quality of service. This is the second location for this family owned restaurant. The original restaurant can be found in the quaint neighboring community of Georgetown.

These massive red doors welcome visitors into a large waiting area. Expect to wait for a few minutes. Our experience has been that you won't be seated until there are sufficient wait persons to provide the required service! Our first visit required a lengthy wait even though there were plenty of tables available. The management seems to be working out the kinks in finding the necessary balance of personnel. Our second visit required a shorter wait. We were seated almost immediately.

Just as the name suggests, two salsas are served with the tostado chips. You will be served a red and green sauce. The food is excellent and served hot while the atmosphere is upbeat, colorful and classy. The ceilings are elaborate and the white tablecloths are a nice addition! My favorite dish is the chicken enchiladas with green sauce.

The service was cheerful and prompt! You won't have an empty tea glass for long!

Don't wait! Plan a visit to Dos Salsas in the near future! Yum!

What city, Paula? Which state? Or is Dos Salsas a franchise? Just wonderin'.

    Good morning, Paula!

I love Mexican food, and for this one to stand out for a Texan who's probably been to dozens of similar restaurants must mean it's very special! If and when my wife and I are ever in the area, we'll certainly have to indulge in Dos Salsas' great cuisine! Thanks for sharing!
