Easter is a time of chocolate fountains, expensive Easter eggs, and partially sick children the day after. But the Easter weekend is a perfect time to celebrate egg giving season with a party for both adults and children.

Alcoholic cocktail drinks recipes make a party go with a bang and helps break the ice with all the guests.

History of Easter

Easter is a Christian holiday and celebrates Jesus being resurrected three days after he was crucified. Easter, also called Resurrection Day or Resurrection Sunday, also marks the end of lent. The giving of eggs is in belief of new life.

Easter Themed Cocktail Drinks Recipes

White Rabbit

Ingredients

2 measures of gin, 1 measure triple sec, 1 measure lemon juice, cracked ice.

Method

Place the ice cubes into a cocktail shaker and pour in all the contents. Shake well. Strain into a cocktail glass and serve with drinks parasol / umbrella.


Pink Rabbit

Ingredients

1 measure apple brandy, 1 measure cranberry juice, 3 measures tequila, dash of lime juice.

Method

Place 4 cracked ice cubes into a cocktail shaker and add the ingredients. Shake well and strain into a cocktail glass. Add parasol for effect.



Bunny Hopper ( A refreshing cocktail drinks recipe )

Ingredients

2 measures tequila, 1 measure white rum, 2 measures pineapple juice, 1 measure grapefruit juice.

Method

Pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker and shake vigorously. Pour over ice in a tumbler glass. Decorate with a slice of pineapple, two thin straws, and a parasol.


Bouncer ( A quick sharp shock of an Easter themed Cocktail drinks recipe )

Ingredients

2 measures Bacardi, 1 measure Grenadine, 1 measure lime juice,

Method

Pour the contents over cracked ice in a cocktail shaker. Strain into cocktail glass. Decorate with a slice of lime.



Bunny Boiler (my favourite)

Ingredients

2 measures white rum, 2 measures dark rum, 1 measure golden rum, 1 measure lime juice, 1 measure triple sec, 1 measure orange juice, 1 measure guava juice, 1 tea-spoon Pernod, and grenadine.

Method

Put some crushed ice into a blender, add the ingredients and blend until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and add a pineapple wedge for decoration.


Shoot The Hare

Ingredients

2 measures tequila, 1 measure Tia Maria

Method

Pour the ingredients into a mixing glass with ice and stir well. Strain into a small goblet and decorate with a spiral of lemon peel if required. Either down in one or sip gently.



Rabid Rabbit

Ingredients

2 measures Southern Comfort, 1/2 measure clear curacao, 1/2 measure lime juice, dash of lemon juice.

Method

Pour the ingredients over cracked ice in a cocktail shaker and shake well. Strain into cocktail glass and decorate with a slice of lemon.


Resurrection

Ingredients

2 measures Pernod, 2 measures brandy, 2 measures yellow Chartreuse.

Method

Pour the ingredients over ice in a cocktail shaker and vigorously. Strain into a tumbler and serve with a parasol.
