Easy Cheesy Meatloaf Recipe
Did I say easy?
Isn’t it great when you can throw together a wonderful dinner in a matter of minutes? It is especially wonderful when it tastes like you have been slaving away in the kitchen for hours. This easy cheesy meatloaf recipe is one of those quick and easy main dish recipes that will astound your family, and impress your friends because of your awesome cooking skills. It tastes delicious, but is easy to prepare. Don’t worry though; it will be our little secret!
Basic easy cheesy meatloaf ingredients
The First Easy Step
The first step to preparing this meatloaf is to take one egg and ¼ cup of heavy whipping cream and put it in a bowl. (I have used milk before and it tastes fine.)
Easy Step Number Two
Add 1 Tablespoon of dried chopped onions, 2 Teaspoons of ground sage, and 1 Teaspoon of Lawry’s seasoning salt. Mix all of it together.
Step Number Three or Where's the Beef?
Mix in 1 ½ pounds of ground beef.
Step Number Four
Add 1 cup of cubed cheddar cheese and about 30 crushed Saltine crackers.
Step Number Five
Mold into a loaf, and put it in a baking pan sprayed with Pam.
Cut a slice down the middle of the loaf and add two Bay leaves.
Step Number Six
Top with Catsup, and two strips of uncooked bacon.
Place in the oven and bake at 350 degrees for 1 ¼ hours.
Yes, it really is that easy!
I like to throw some potatoes in the oven at the same time that the meatloaf is cooking so that my family can enjoy baked potatoes along with the easy cheesy meatloaf. Throw together a salad and you have a meal fit for a king!
