Meatloaf Recipe with Brown Sugar

  • 2 lbs Ground Beef
  • 1 small or 1/2 large Onion
  • 3/4 Cup Saltine Crackers, Crumbs, Approximately 12
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 Cup Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • 1/2 Cup Brown Sugar, Twice
  • 1/2 Cup Ketchup

Cook Time

Prep time: 30 min
Cook time: 1 hour
Ready in: 1 hour 30 min
Yields: 4-5 people


  1. Pre-heat Oven to 350°
  2. Grease at 9.25" x 5.25" x 2.75" Pan
  3. Pack 1/2 cup Brown Sugar to the bottom
  4. Add 1/2 cup Ketchup on top of Brown Sugar
  5. Add all ingredients in a big bowl, mix with hands until it begins to get consistent and turn into a "loaf" 12 Saltine Crackers, crumbled, 1/4 teaspoon Ginger, 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper, 1 1/2 teaspoon Salt, 1/2 cup Milk, 1 small or 1/2 large Onion, Chopped, 2 large eggs, 2 pounds Ground Beef
  6. Put "loaf" into your greased pan
  7. Top again with 1/2 cup Brown Sugar and 1/2 cup Ketchup
  8. Cook for approximately 1 hour to 1 hour 20 mins. Look for grease and juices to begin to puddle around the sides. When this become excessive, remove from oven
  9. Prepare side items, cut into slices, and serve
