Easy Shrimp and Pasta Recipe

Updated on March 13, 2012

Shrimp and Garlic Pasta 30 Minute Meal

This is a personal recipe created because I just didn't want to go to the store. I used items I had on hand. It ended up being a family favorite.

8 oz spaghetti or 4 servings of the pasta of your choice

16 oz peeled deveined shrimp (Can be frozen precooked shrimp)

2 cloves garlic

4 Tbs butter or margerine

salt and pepper to taste

1. Cook pasta according to manufacturer's instructions. Drain and set aside covered in a serving dish.

2. Melt butter in a pan. Cook garlic for 2 minutes.

3. Add shrimp to pan and cook 1 minute on each side. (Cook until thawed if frozen precooked shrimp.)

4. Add shrimp and butter to pasta. Toss until pasta is well coated with sauce. Add salt and pepper to taste.

Thanks for asking. It's a fun dish to play around with. My kids like it simple, but you could add whatever you like.

Your recipe certainly sounds easy enough. Would you consider adding a few chopped scallions and maybe some chopped red pepper?
