Easy Squash Dessert Recipe: Squash Flan
A healthy squash dessert
Recently i have found out that a lot of native squash freely grow in a vacant space in our backyard and i have decided to find different recipes out of it. Squash is rich in essential nutrients needed to boost our immune system. I want to share a simple dessert recipe out of it that surely your kids will love without knowing it's main vegetable ingredient.
You need the following ingredients:
2 cups of cooked squash, mashed
1 can condensed milk
4 pcs eggs, slightly beaten
1 tsp vanilla
sugar to taste
Caramelized sugar in a llanera or a leche flan molder, distribute it equally.
Mix sugar, vanilla, condensed milk and stir it until the sugar dissolved.
Add the slightly beaten eggs, and blend it in the mashed squash, mix it thoroughly.
Pour the mixture in individual flan molder and steam it for about 15-20 minutes. You may insert a toothpick for you to determined it is done. If the toothpick comes out clean, then it's good to go...
Let it cool and unmold...
